Introduction & Background
On July 25, 2026, at 06:00 AM, the Society for Awareness and Transformation of Youthful Aspiration (SATYA) actively participated in the Women Walkathon, organized as part of the “Nashe Se Doori Hai Zaroori 2.0” campaign by the Indore Police Commissionerate. The primary objective of this initiative was to promote health awareness and women empowerment alongside delivering a strong message for a substance-free society.
2. Key Activities
– Enthusiastic Walkathon: Female employees, volunteers, and youth from the organization gathered at 06:00 AM and participated in the walkathon with high energy and discipline, holding placards and chanting slogans against drug abuse.
– Zumba & Fitness Sessions: Demonstrating physical health and mental strength, the participants eagerly took part in marathon and Zumba sessions alongside the walkathon, creating a vibrant and positive atmosphere.
– Pledge Ceremony: At the conclusion of the event, all participants took a solemn pledge to stay away from drugs and to continuously raise awareness about its harmful effects within their families and society.
– Special Interaction & Photo Session: At the end of the program, the SATYA team participated in a special photo session with Indore Police Commissioner Mr. Santosh Kumar Singh (IPS) and Additional DCP Mr. Rakesh Dandotiya. The senior police leadership appreciated SATYA’s dedicated efforts toward social welfare.
3. Challenges Encountered
– Time and Crowd Management: Gathering a large turnout for an early 06:00 AM start and maintaining seamless coordination among volunteers amidst a massive public crowd required significant management effort.
– Weather & Environmental Factors: Given the monsoon conditions in late July, quick adaptability was essential to ensure the safety and enthusiasm of participants despite potential rain.
4. Future Plans & Commitment
– Sustained Anti-Drug Campaigns: Drawing inspiration from this initiative by the Indore Commissionerate, SATYA plans to conduct ongoing anti-drug awareness workshops in local educational institutions and community areas.
– Women Leadership & Empowerment: The organization aims to train female volunteers as “Community Change Agents” who will lead future local drives focused on health awareness and substance abuse prevention.
– Police-Citizen Partnership: SATYA remains committed to collaborating with the Indore Police Commissionerate and other social organizations to build a safer, drug-free, and empowered society.
